Using a centuries-old vegetable tanning process that takes over six months to complete, each hide is hand-finished to reveal a rich, organic luster and tight grain structure unique to the shell layer.
Only two small ovals—known as “shells”—can be harvested from a single horsehide, making this leather exceptionally limited. With its dense fibers, subtle waxy feel, and deep marbling, Rocado shell cordovan is built to withstand daily use while developing a remarkable patina over time.
